Temple Beth Israel helps local refugees

In addition to our most first story about Temple Beth Israel’s support of Inland Valley Hope Partners, Temple Beth Israel is also a partner with Newcomers Access Center, a local nonprofit, in helping refugee families getting settled locally.  For the past three years, they have donated countless items and volunteer hours. As a HIAS Welcoming Congregation, they believe that “welcoming the stranger” is key to their Jewish values.  They have participated in festivals, clothing giveaways, tutoring, and social events, all aimed at helping our new neighbors feel welcome and supported.
