“All students in grades Transitional Kinder through sixth grade from Decker Elementary.”
Type of Project: Activity
“At Decker Elementary our gratitude project started off with an announcement from the School Counselor. Ms. Sisneros taught what the word gratitude means and then modeled how to express gratitude to others. All students at Decker were then able to create their own gratitude leaf in which they wrote what they were most grateful for. Students were then able to share out with the class their most grateful moments. At Decker Elementary we are creating a positive school culture experience where each student feels a sense of belonging in the school environment. In this specific lesson students learned how to create positive and supportive relationships with others by using effective oral and written communication and listening skills.”
