Temple Beth Israel in Pomona has had a strong history of Social Action for the past twenty years. Their Social Action Committee has been actively working to help our community in a variety of ways, including feeding the homeless, collecting food for Inland Valley Hope Partners, assisting refugee families, donating holiday gifts to David and Margaret Home, to name a few.
For the past twenty years, Temple Beth Israel congregants have been collecting food for Inland Valley Hope Partners as part of their annual High Holy Days food drive. This year, as in the past, they exceeded their goal of 1000 bags! Their religious school students take great pride in loading and filling an entire truck with the donations. They are proud to be a long-time supporter of Hope Partners.
